The short answer
A new-establishment trigger fires when an existing company registers a new establishment or sub-unit. MarketPrior reads these from Norway’s Brønnøysund register (sub-units, “underenheter”) and France’s INSEE SIRENE register (new SIRET establishments). The event is attached to the parent company and carries both identifiers, so you see expansion by an organisation you may already know.

Why track new establishments?
An establishment is a physical place where a company does business. A new one usually means growth in a specific location: more staff, a new lease, local suppliers and services. That makes it a sharper signal than a company-wide figure, especially for regional sellers.
Because the event is attached to an existing company, it fits account-based selling: you see expansion at accounts you are already working.
What identifiers come with the event?
In Norway, the event carries the parent organisation number and the sub-unit’s own number. In France, it carries the SIRET of the new establishment and whether it is the head office. The SIREN — the first nine digits of a SIRET — identifies the company itself.
- Norway: parent_orgnr and sub_unit_orgnr from the Brønnøysund register.
- France: siret and head_office from SIRENE.
- Both: city and postcode where the register publishes them, and a link to the public page.
Who uses new-establishment triggers?
- Regional sellers: facilities, equipment, cleaning, security, local services.
- Account managers watching existing customers expand into new locations.
- Analysts tracking where a company is physically growing.
