Resources · Sales triggers
Sales triggers, read from the public record.
Every event type in the MarketPrior lead feed — what it means, which countries it covers and which public source it is read from.
About this section
A sales trigger is a dated change at a company — a raise, a contract, a new leader, a new site, a hiring push — that makes it more likely to buy now. MarketPrior reads these events from SEC filings, USASpending, national company registers and the open web, and links every event to the record it came from.
Buying signals are in the default feed. Risk events such as insolvency are recorded too, but only appear when you ask for them and never raise a company’s intent score.

United States
New SEC Form D filings
A Form D is the notice a US company files when it sells securities in a private offering. MarketPrior reads the SEC EDGAR daily index and turns each new filing, amendment and amount sold into a trigger linked to the filing itself.

New federal contract awards
When a company wins a US federal contract, the award is published on USASpending.gov. MarketPrior reads new awards daily and turns each one into a trigger on the recipient company, linked to the award record.

New registered charges
When a UK company grants security over its assets, the charge is registered at Companies House. MarketPrior reads new charges from the streaming API and turns each one into a trigger naming the lenders.

New CEOs, officers and directors
A new leader often means new priorities and new budgets. MarketPrior records officer, director and CEO appointments and removals from public registers and filings, with the person, the role and the change.

New companies
Every new legal entity needs a bank, an accountant, insurance, software and a website. MarketPrior reads new registrations from five national registers and turns each one into a trigger with its industry code and location.

New sites and sub-units
When an existing company opens a new establishment — a shop, an office, a depot — the register records it. MarketPrior turns those records in Norway and France into a trigger on the parent company.

Name, capital and seat changes
Companies change in ways that never reach the news: a capital increase, a move, a new legal form, a rename. MarketPrior reads these changes from the Norwegian and French registers and records what changed.

French business sales
In France, the sale of a business — a fonds de commerce — must be published in BODACC. MarketPrior reads those notices and turns each one into a trigger on the buyer, with the price and the previous owner.

Hiring spikes
A sudden jump in open roles is one of the most honest growth signals there is. MarketPrior reads public applicant-tracking boards and fires a trigger when a company’s openings jump.

New technology on the website
The tools a company runs leave traces in its website and DNS. When a new one appears, MarketPrior records it as a tech-adoption trigger.

New and relaunched websites
A first website marks a business going live; a relaunch often marks a new strategy, brand or product. MarketPrior detects both from public web-archive history.
